To pour into another’s life is something that gives me great joy and fulfillment. — Mo! (2022)
In this week’s episode, it’s just you and me, no co-host — oh, and my lovely baby!
October is my birthday month, and I’m celebrating life and looking forward to the year ahead. I’ve spent the last three weeks traveling around, so I will talk about the various places I’ve been, starting with the romantic getaway I had with T-Dawg. We have not always had time to properly enjoy a date night, so he took me out, which allowed me to enjoy not being the one constantly throwing other’s parties. We had a lovely time out!
I traveled to eight countries in three weeks (the US, Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, and Nigeria). The trip was heavenly, yet tiresome. One of the places we visited was Haiti, and my heart went out to the country and all they’ve been through, although I was grateful for the opportunity to travel.
My biggest highlight was my visit to Europe, however: it’s beautiful, and everything feels close by. I also reflect on how it compares to the United States, with its distinct cultures and historical beauty. I found myself considering moving.
I deeply missed my baby girl, though being alive is a gift; even more, it is being allowed to pour into others. In line with that, my resolutions for this new birthday influenced the call to share and raise funds for treatment for Kosi, a mother of two girls under age 10, who was recently diagnosed with cancer (GoFundMe link here). I am also so very grateful to everyone who’s donated so far.
Anyway, that’s me. I’d love to hear from you, though: how are you doing? Also, do you think I should move to Europe? Let us know in the comments.
